Jeremy Mutero

Jeremy specializes in real estate, commercial banking, aviation, banking regulation, and alternative dispute resolution with over 25 years of post – qualification experience. He is well regarded for his vast legal experience having worked in both corporate organizations and private practice.

Jeremy is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Secretary. He holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Nairobi, an MBA in Finance from USIU-Africa, and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law.

His Recent Legal Matters:

• • • Acted for various banks including KCB, Equity, Stanbic, Co-operative, Family Bank, Sidian, Gulf African, HFC, and Consolidated Bank on due diligence with respect to borrowers, advising on all legal matters arising, structuring of lending transactions and perfection of all securities.
    • Advising a real estate developer on the sale of 12 town houses in Soykiamu, this included preparation of all sale documents (including reservation forms, letters of offer, agreements for sale, leases, and transfers), handling of sale transactions between the developers and buyers, registration of interests (Leases and transfers).
    • Acted for a developer on sectional titles for 36 apartment units in Lower Kabete
    • Acted for an African lending institution that focuses on property development in a JV agreement between the institution and the developer that involved equity and mezzanine financing of Kshs. 500 Billion
    • Part of a team that advised a wind farm on legal due diligences, and leases for the windmills.
    • Part of a team that advised a 100 MW wind farm in Kajiado.
